We used to provide headphone loans as well at my public library. Due to
the sanitary question, the breakage, and the staff time it started to
take to check the headphones in and out (mainly to teens listening to
music), we switched a couple of months ago to providing them for sale
for a dollar, the same as the disks we sell. This has been working very
well so far.
