Subject: [Publib] Alito & ALA - my turn
I assume that we are assuming that Judge Alito is guilty until proven
innocent. Beware, beware...Earl Warren surprised many, to the chagrin
of them what appointed him, and Sandra Day O'Connor was an unpleasant
reality on the High Court for some who expected her to be other than she
was. One might consider that Judge Alito doesn't seem nearly as prickly
as, say, Mr. Scalia does. I mean, at the very least one might consider
that. Though prickly is not always all bad.

I agree that "prickly is not always all bad". That is why prickly
attitudes by Council may sometimes be better than the passive and
milquetoast. A growl might not necessarily ward off predators, but it
might be less inviting than a whimper.
Beware, beware.... George W. Bush surprised many of us by proving to be
even worse than expected. And with such brilliant appointments as
Cheney, Ashcroft, Gonzales, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Rove and Mike (heckeuva
job) Brown to his credit, I don't expect any pleasant surprises among
his Supreme Court picks.
