[Publib] Book Challenge

Hello all,

 

I have received a verbal challenge to the following children's book:

 

Ludwig Van Beethoven - Great Composer

Carew-Miller, Anna

ISBN 1590841484

 

It is shelved in our Juvenile Biography section. If any of your libraries own this title, could you take a minute to peruse it and share your thoughts with me? The book is illustrated with cartoon drawings and the cherubs and statues have a "Botticelli" look to them and they are anatomically correct, which is the patron's complaint. Amazon puts it at ages 9-12. I would appreciate any input. The patron is in the process of filling out our request for reconsideration form so I want to be prepared. Thanks!
