I know that the Palmer School of Library Science of Long Island University has been offering this program for the last eight years, so maybe my question should be how is this different from the new ALA program? Perhaps some library directors or librarians in New York who have direct experience with it may shed some light on this.

Background: This is an opportunity for to attend a localized offering of the Public Library Administrator’s Certificate Program, presented by LONG ISLAND UNIVERSITY - PALMER SCHOOL OF LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SCIENCE, Palmer Institute for Public Library Organization and Management. Here is the information online at midhudson.org/admin/PLAC/information.pdf and and the application is available online at midhudson.org/admin/PLAC/application.pdf
