I'm wondering when the time will come when Marquis Who's Who in America
will be available only as an online product and not even exist in print
form. We have Who's Who going back dozens of years and the heavy
volumes consume a large amount of shelf space. My guess is that more
and more folks simply do Google searches whenever they want to look up
someone and don't want to bother going to the library and lugging down
the fat volumes. Jim Casey - my own views - Director of Oak Lawn Public
Library.

Subject: [Publib] Who's who
I have a patron who was invited to be in Marquis Who's Who in America.
Now she and I both know there are a lot of vanity Who's Who out there.
What I couldn't answer is how to tell the legit one from the vanity
ones.
Any ideas?
