Ok, this is dangerous territory since I don't know how your ILS works, but
it wouldn't be duplicating to point to/replicate an existing list generated
by the catalog, and in fact a really good catalog ought to be able to
generate that directly to the blog. Not only that, the blog would lead
people to the catalog... though note that a lot of library users don't see
the world through ILS-centric glasses the way many of us do. The blog will
reach people where they are, increasingly--on the Web. 

(But then, don't get me started on what a really good catalog would do. I
have to finish a report today!)
