Wasn't the Washington State library in danger of being closed just a couple of years ago?
It is nice that people are enthusiastic. Too bad the original librarian wasn't.

a woman from a small town expressed disgust with her local library because
its quilt book collection is woefully out of date. When several people

could get a book for you if you had the author's name."
That led to this. I thought you'd like to hear from some enthusiastic
library users!

What stupid people. And they are sending a message to their children
that being stupid is OK. If they are so worried about their taxes
I'm sure there are more ways of decreasing them without closing ALL
the libraries. I couldn't live in a town with a library. How about
everyone taking a cut in salary. Or how about firing those
incompetent idiots who supposedly run the city (this from someone
from NJ who knows). Honesltly I wonder about peoples brains at
times. Sheeesh!

I am with you Charlene. A library is so important to a
town. My my blood curdles to read that people think
they are a luxury.
