Subject: [Publib] PUBLIB: Search has finally returned!
Dear PUBLIB folks,
Thanks to the combined efforts of Webjunction, Roy Tennant, and a little
bit
of work from me, PUBLIB again has its own native search function.
You can get to search from the main PUBLIB page:
http://lists.webjunction.org/publib/
If you're used to Google... well, this ain't Google. The search function
has
a few configuration issues we would have liked to address, but it would
have
involved Roy learning another programming language to do it. He's
generous,
but that does go beyond the pale.
I set up indexing to run every hour; this means that items added within
the
hour are not searchable. You can browse for these items, of course. It
takes
several minutes for the index to run. In any event, this should be a
help.
Let me know if you see odd/problematic search results.
Bon appetit,
Karen G. Schneider/PUBLIB
