[Publib] "pet" names for librarians

Good luck!  I have a hard time getting people to not shorten my
name... I can't stand being called "Abby"  I'd much rather deal with a
nice grandmotherly "honey" than "Abby"

I've found that usually repeating my name when they try to do
something creative with it (I was "Gale" for a while with one
woman..that was wierd) tends to stop it though.  If I can calmly and
flatly say "Abigail, please" after they've misabbreviated---most
people will get the hint.

I like Lisee's suggestion though!!
