We do P.O.s when possible, credit card otherwise. We've had no problems
using a credit card, except for a couple of times when we had to follow
up on orders not received.

Subject: [Publib] How do most libraries...

Hello,
I'm curious as to the ways that librarians in general (particularly
collection development librarians) today are paying for books and
materials that are not vendor/subscriber based, such as books from small
publishers that aren't available through the jobbers. I've normally had
to get a check cut for each purchase in the libraries I've worked at and
it's real time consuming and inefficient. Are most librarians using
credit cards today or purchase orders or what? Are there problems with
using cedit cards? Are p.o.'s still being used predominantly? What do
you feel is the best, easiest method?
