Leora,
I've done presentations for a few annual staff events around the country on
readers' advisory - more specifically, on Nonfiction Readers' Advisory and
it has been very well received. The most recent one was the Rhode Island
Library Association; they have posted feedback if you are interested:

Subject: [Publib] Staff Day
Greetings!
I am thinking about our annual Staff Day, which will be held in May 2007,
and am having trouble coming up with ideas. We have been doing this for
about 10 years now and I don't want to repeat the customer service training,
computer issues, stress on the job, etc. I was thinking of doing something
on Reader's Advisory but am not sure what.
Does anybody have any creative and work-related issues that staff might
enjoy? Thanks in advance.
