[Publib] Profit free, free librarian stickers

Greetings,

I have no desire to be contrarian, but I found a post on an old newsgroup that shows that Turid Mevold used the phrase "Librarians do it for free" as part of his signature line back in 1998. If your argument is who put it in writing first owns the copyright, wouldn't it be his?

Regards,
Shannon

I have tried to keep this private, but I see I must go public. My idea is
copyrighted by virtue of having put it into writing first. I cannot
comprehend a librarian who would violate copyright law and try to make a
profit on it.

I think those considering purchasing these items should keep this in mind.
