Our library consists of the Adult Room (parlor), Children's Room (family
area) and Commons (rec room). We have relaxed rules in the Commons, which
we have photos of on our web site.

We control behavior in all cases, but behavior that is acceptable in the
Commons is not allowed in the other parts of the library. We "control'
afterschool behavior by keeping most of it in the Commons - where food,
drink, order out pizza, group activities on computers, hanging out are all
permitted as long as it doesn't involve hitting, pushing or bullying. We
have also had some success by employing teacher's aides from the schools as
after school monitors. It eliminates the anonymous nature of some behavior
and brings consequences.

Yes, we hope to write this up more formally soon.
