[Publib] Need help with shelving

Our end panels are solid birch that matches our furniture. While it would be nice to have a slat feature on which to hang end-of-run displays, our end panels are very attractive and show virtually no signs of wear in the five years we've had them.

Do any of you have "Slatwall Wood Veneer End Panels" on your shelving? Do you have them on the ends of all of your shelving or do you alternate with flat end panels?

The local Blockbuster has slatwall end panels on their shelving but it is not very well made and is chipping. Do the end panels that you use have this same problem?
