The North Central Library District is recruiting a second results driven consultant to serve its 44 member libraries.  The District's goal is that every library system or individual library will have a strategic plan based on a collections and services evaluation and community needs assessment to assist boards and staff in growing their customer base, instituting new services and advocating for increased local tax support.  Knowledge of effective and evolving public library trends and services, well developed coaching skills and prior experience with or enthusiasm for planning, marketing, technology based service delivery and the ability to perceive opportunities for service expansion are needed.  Minimum starting salary $40,000 plus benefits with an increase in 1/2007.  Masters Degree in Library Science, Business Administration or Marketing related field required.  Two or more years experience in a public library preferred.
