[Publib] Amazon's Library Processing

I am not currently shopping from Amazon or working at a library. But the big
problem I had were shipments that were four months overdue (which was a
major problem with my fiscal year). The website kept saying the books would
ship in 24 hours. I ended up cancelling the order, placing it through Barnes
and Noble and got the books within a week. This was when I was director of
an academic library.

Why do the websites say the books are available when clearly they are not? I
also had ordered a large number of Spanish language books and cancelled the
order after four months for non-delivery.

This was a couple of years ago, but I stopped shopping from Amazon because I
can't trust your delivery information.

Also, Barnes and Noble offers a discount for libraries. Why doesn't Amazon?
(At least your customer service people said they did not offer any discounts
for libraries.)
