Four questions for public libraries.

1. Do you charge a fee to your patrons/customers/guests for using your
interlibrary loan service?
We do not charge for ILL's from libraries that are in our system.
But if we have to ILL books from libraries outside of our system
(Calif. Texas, etc.) then we do charge. We charge the $3.00 that our
library is charged for placing the order. So yes it is just to recover
the cost (but we don't charge for postage on items) the rest we pay out
of pocket.

If yes, how much and why? Is it to recover costs, to discourage
indiscriminate borrowing or another reason?

2. Do you have a limit on the number of requests you allow at any
given
time or over a period of time? If yes, please give limits.
 4 at a time.
3. Do you have limitations on the types of items that
patrons/customers/guests may request? If yes, please give types NOT
allowed. No

4. Do you allow your patrons/customers/guests to request renewals of
the
ILL items they borrow?
Only if the borrowing library allows renewals.

Hope this helps.
