My guess is this has been slowly evolving, but an article on LISNews alerted
me that Amazon has been getting into the library processing market,
apparently in a big way:

I'm curious about this and am considering writing a column about it for ALA
Techsource (http://techsource.ala.org ) or at least having a discussion here
on PUBLIB.
Have any of you tried Amazon's library services? Are there advantages?
Disadvantages? Fast? Slow? Processing ok? Do you need a vendor that ties in
with your ILS?
I was tempted to set up a corporate account and order my next personal batch
of books from Amazon with MARC records, barcodes, and spine labels, just to
see what it was like...
