ALA President Carol Brey-Casiano invites you to join her for a
screening of "Unconstitutional," a feature-length
documentary about the PATRIOT Act from acclaimed filmmaker Robert
Greenwald. "Unconstitutional," which was written, directed and
produced by award-winning journalist/filmmaker Nonny de la Peña,
explores how the PATRIOT Act, hurriedly passed after 9-11 to provide law
enforcement agencies with greater powers to fight and prevent terrorism,
has taken away checks on law enforcement and continues to endanger the
civil liberties of all Americans. A panel discussion featuring prominent
speakers from both sides of the PATRIOT Act debate will follow the
screening.
