[Publib] Too many signs

Not just negative, but also too much. I'd encourage you all too look at
signs in your favorite retail store. Compare the messages and quantity of
signs there with the signs in your library. And just think about it.

And a brief "commercial": if you're planning to attend the Texas Library
Association's conference in April, you can hear a panel of design
professionals (all library users, by the way) talk about just this.

And TLA is a great conference. If ALA just seems too big (altough I love it
and have been to both annual and mid-winter most years since 1985), try
TLA. You don't have to be a Texas librarian. The conference will be in
Houston in 2006.

Anyway, great cartoon!

Dale
