Patty, I have no personal need for these materials at my library, but I
suspect that libraries in Mississippi and Louisiana could use them.
After seeing your message earlier today, I sent a message to a mailing
list for Louisiana libraries, inquiring if a clearinghouse is available
to disperse materials to needy libraries in hurricane stricken areas.
I'm waiting to hear a response.

Subject: [Publib] Talking books on cassette - giving them away
I don't know if anyone can help me, but I have a large
collection of talking books on cassette that our library would like to
donate to a worthy place. I was thinking one of the damaged libraries
in LA or MS, but would consider other places.
They are marked as from our library, but unlike print editions,
I think they could be easily transferred to another library.
Any suggestions? Is this a bad idea? Thanks for your help,
Patty
