FOCUS GROUP PARTICIPANTS WANTED FOR DEVELOPING POLLUTION PREVENTION
RESOURCE

The Toxics Use Reduction Institute (TURI) at the University of
Massachusetts Lowell is currently rebuilding its web site to include
more resources for the general public and municipalities promoting
pollution prevention. Recognizing that public librarians are important
conduits for reaching a broad range of community members, TURI wants to
involve them in designing the web site and a brochure.

A focus group of Massachusetts public librarians is being planned for June
1, 1998,
to learn about preferences for Internet-based resources available
through TURI and to identify initial issues and strategies to be
considered when supplying pollution prevention information to the
public through libraries.

To learn more about participating in the focus group, contact Teresa
Frydryk, JSI Research and Training Institute, 617-482-9485 or
