Traditional "Secret page" Stamp (fwd)

Subject: Traditional "Secret page" Stamp

        How many libraries still put their ownership stamp on a
"secret page".  I know it was traditional, but with downsizing
and smaller staff and more work, is it really realistic?  If a
patron wants to steal a book, is it really a deterrent?  Is it
worth the time it takes to do and then un-do it when you
salvage?
