[ILL-L] Extended holiday closings and on-campus document delivery services

Hi all,
For those of you who operate on-campus document delivery services for your
patrons, how do you manage requests during an extended holiday closing?
Do you deactivate the links in your OPAC, shut down your ILL/DD system, or
do you leave everything on and manage your patron expectations with
announcements beforehand and online alerts?
In the past we have allowed patrons to submit new ILL Borrowing requests in
ILLiad over our December holiday break when the ILL office is closed, but
this year we are concerned with starting 2010 with a backlog of document
delivery requests as well. If anyone would care to share their experiences
and any advice they may have, that would be greatly appreciated!
