I'm sorry to read about this.  I'll miss your participation and
expertise on the listservs!  Good luck and best wishes!

 

As of Monday, - due to the budget- we'll be closing down our venerable
Books By Mail service and I'll be adjusting my sig file down. We lost
our Books By Mail staff 4 years ago and folded the duties into the ILL
staffers duties.  I'm trying to look at this as an ILL workflow
enhancement.

Due to belt-tightening measures in Washington State government, I've
been laid off here at the State Library.  (ILL services are not
affected; the work will just be done by someone else.)  My last day is
today.

 

The five-plus years I've worked in Interlibrary Loan, both at OKI and
more recently here at WRJ, have been the most fun and most rewarding of
my career...in large part due to the great ILL community working away in
the background, helping each other to help the public find information
and resources they need.  I hope to be able to return to doing ILL some
day.  It's in my blood!
