[ILL-L] renewals - if we mean no, shouldn't we say no?

I might just be the lending library does not know it should enter a new due date which adds more time to the original due date. ?????

Over the past couple of months, I have noticed that when I request renewals via OCLC, several libraries have responded "Renewal OK" - but the new due date is the same as the old due date.
Is this a problem with some feature of WorldCat Resource Sharing, or is it just a way to get out of saying "No Renewal"?
If we aren't able to renew items, we should be straightforward about it and just say no. It is frustrating to find a patron on the Renewal OK list, only to find the due date is the same.
