[ILL-L] ILL-L List Upgrade and Temporary Outage

Hello ILL-L subscribers, please note the following message from the support team at WebJunction, our list host. This Sunday ILL-L will be moved to newer equipment and the software which drives the list, Mailman, will be upgraded. The list will be unavailable for new posts starting at 2:00 a.m. EST on Sunday morning and should be fully operational around 6:00 a.m. EST. Please note that no action is required on your part as a subscriber. Hopefully this time frame won't affect too many users! ;)

Dear List Owner.

On Sunday September 13, WebJunction/OCLC is upgrading the server that hosts your list. The rescheduled upgrade involves new equipment and updates to Mailman (from 2.1.5 to 2.1.12) and Apache server software. As part of the upgrade, the list will experience a short downtime beginning at 2 a.m. Eastern, during which time messages will be queued until the upgrade is complete.

The outage is expected to last no more than four hours. As part of the install verification process, the developer will send a test message to the list. Please disregard this message. Though we do not expect to need it, the outage window provides a contingency plan that would allow a roll-back to the previous listserv state.
