[ILL-L] Sticker options

The only additional comment/question I would make is the inclusion of a copy of the request. The ILL transaction number is on the strap that is printed off from WC so why waste paper/time for a copy of the request? Or is there another reason to include the paperwork?

Merle

Hi Linda,

I used to create book straps on colored paper for books that we lent out and for books we borrowed, but we have found it's so much easier and faster just printing the book straps created in WorldCat Resource Sharing via FirstSearch whenever you "receive" a borrowed book or "sent" out book for lending. All the information we need from the request prints including library information, ILL #, and ILL# barcode. The book straps and mailing labels features that have been added to WRS are very nice and we enjoy them! For books we lent out, we still include a printout of the paperwork and return label inside the book.

Our library is revisiting the sticker/strap issue because of the RUSA Interlibrary Loan Code. Does anyone have a time-saving efficient method they would share with us besides using the sticky labels?

Please contact me off-list at ills at fvrl.org, thanks!
