[ILL-L] library liaison with non-academic areas

I am gathering research for a paper on library liaison relationships
between academic libraries and non-academic areas. For example, at my last
position I was liaison with the Office of Student Life, Counseling Center,
and Student Health services. I looked at developing a connection with the
residence hall assistants, but that didn’t happen. At a previous position,
I was liaison with the Dean of Student Affairs Office, International
Student Center, and the Athletic Dept.

If you have been involved in such library liaison arrangements or know of
someone, could you contact me?  Thank you.

I will be co-authoring with a Dean of Students and hope to develop a
possible model.


BTW: I’ve also thought of liaisonships with student government and the
Greeks (frats and sororities.
