[ILL-L] Cuyahoga County Public Library

I'm wondering what the rationale for cutting ILL was at Cuyahoga County
Public Library?  Was shipping costs a big concern? Did the Powers That
Be reason that customers could go to Cleveland and buy a library card at
the Public Library and get their ILLs through them?

I would think that most everyone will still lend.  The big question is
are you still going to participate in OCLC Resource Sharing?  I would
hate to see you have to resort to paper/email/fax requests.

Being an Ohio resident and an employee of an Ohio library I am fully
aware of the statewide budget cuts. Please ad OWU to the list of
libraries that want to help you out.  Continue to send borrowing

This is bad news.  As a rule we are pretty mean about lending only to
libraries willing to lend to us, but you have lots of credit.  Please
send requests and we will do our best.

Let us know if we can help.  We could conditional with harsh messages
about the importance of reciprocity.  Would this convince your
organization that ILL lending is the life blood of good service?
