[ILL-L] copyright fees for patrons

I am confused about lending libraries charging for copyright. As a borrowing person I keep up with what we owe in Copyright and pay it every Jan. to the Copy Right Clearing House and others. I have been taught that it is the Borrowings responsibility not the Lending's. What am I not seeing or understanding.

Subject: [ILL-L] copyright fees for patrons

Happy Friday All,

We are re-evaluating our policy on our fees, both IFM and copyright. Currently, we have our IFM max cost set at $25 for the Main Library and $30 for the Science Library. This excludes any additional costs such as copyright. How much you are willing to pay in copyright fees for your patrons? Do you have a set amount per patron? Department?

All responses all welcomed. Please send off-list.
