[ILL-L] non-AV lenders--custom holdings group still necessary?

Do you believe that your custom holdings groups are accurate and up to date?
Is the time spent updating that data worth is, and does it get you an accurate picture of which libraries lend what?
 
My own experience is that there are many lenders in our "lends AV group" that have set up auto deflect to NOT lend AV. So certainly the custom group data that we have is not accurate any more. 
I suppose I will have to sit down and revise that data and I've been putting it off as a big time suck. Someone assure me it is worth it.  :)  And, I hope that somewhere is stored a highly accurate and up to date list of AV lenders.

We use the custom holdings groups and paths, we just deflect for certain groups of items (like dvds), and for a few individual items that we can't lend,

How are ya'll handling non-AV lenders as far as mechanics of creating your WRS requests?

 

I guess my question boils down to this: are custom holding groups/paths still necessary now that auto-deflect is in place and easy to set up for the lender? I ask because keeping up with who lends what has never been especially accurate.
