Library Specialist/Interlibrary Loan Supervisor - Higher Education Assistant
Under the direction of the Head of Interlibrary Loan Services (ILL), this person manages the ILL office staff and work flow for one of the library's core services (30,000+ transactions per year); performs and delegates work assignments including the receipt and return of interlibrary loan material; monitors service quality; and participates in the ongoing improvement of ILL services.
Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor's degree and four years' related experience required; MLS degree or Master's in a related field may be substituted for a portion of the experience requirement.
Preferred:
* Skill with Microsoft Office Applications
* Successful supervisory experience including the ability to provide clear instructions, promote cooperation among subordinates and assist in staff evaluations
* Library, especially interlibrary loan experience
* Demonstrated potential for significant achievement and growth in position.
* Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work without direct supervision.
* Ability to understand service documentation, & master new software and hardware including managing statistical software & web applications.
* Demonstrated interpersonal and organization skills including: dedication to providing excellent service; ability to communicate clearly on the telephone, in person, and via email; ability to set priorities and work efficiently under pressure; accuracy and attention to detail.
Salary Range: $41,624 - $51,487 FLSA Status: Exempt
