We are cancelling 25% of the borrowing requests submitted by our users. Now that they can easily submit requests directly from an online database they seem to skip the step that says "check our holdings." We use Article Linker and we are looking at the Article Linker screen to see if there needs to be a font change, etc. so that users do not skip that step.
I would like to see examples of Article Linker screens from other institutions so that I can see how others lay out this information for their users. If you use Article Linker please send a screen shot to me directly.
Also, we are looking into developing a standard email that we can send to users to explain the steps they should be doing before submitting an interlibrary loan request. Our ILL FAQ on our website explains the steps but apparently not being read. We have some users that repeatedly submit requests for materials we own and I would like to develop an email I can send to those users offering a one on one session, etc. or maybe just refer to our FAQ.
If you have such an email/document I would appreciate seeing examples.
Thank you,
Lorna Newman
