When we give a book to a patron the circulation staff desensitizes it, and when we get a book back it goes to circulation and they sensitize, so it works out I hope,

Subject: Re: [ILL-L] Sensitizing ILL books
I don't desensitize items that I lend or borrow. I suspect that the circulation department desensitize the borrowed items before they give them to the patron (I've never asked). I also have no idea if our pages sensitizes those same items when they are returned (I really should inquire). I figure that our loaned items would come back desensitize so I give them to the pages and ask them to sensitize them (a little precaution never hurts).
