[ILL-L] Strange request - Conn. & Ohio Land Deed form from 1820

I would start with the Ohio or Connecticut state historical societies. A
deed search from that time period would usually start with a name or plot of
land and is done, in Florida, at the County Clerk's Office. However, a
historical society may easily have access to a historical deed or at the
least point your faculty member in the right direction.

Subject: [ILL-L] Strange request - Conn. & Ohio Land Deed form from 1820
I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for but I have a faculty member who
wants to see what a Land Deed from around 1820 (or earlier) for the Ohio
territory or rural Connecticut. For this project it doesn't have to be a
specific area. Since it isn't for a specific owner or place - I have no
idea if this is possible.
She is looking for how a Land Deed from this time and these areas would be
worded rather than any specifics and I'm not even sure where to begin.
Any guidance would be appreciated. Of course we don't have funds, but at
least if I had something to let her know that would be very helpful.
