PLEASE NOTE:  I believe I have responded to all submissions received so far.  If you have already submitted a presentation or poster session proposal and have not received an email from me confirming, please email me off-list.


The sixth ILLiad International Conference will be held on Thursday and Friday, March 25-26, 2010 at the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront in Virginia Beach, VA. The Preconference will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2010.

How do I get a discount on my registration fee for the 2010 ILLiad International Conference?

Do you want to come to the ILLiad conference but are concerned about costs?
Thinking about presenting or creating a poster session but need some motivation?

Submit your presentation and poster session ideas now!

If your presentation is selected for the conference class schedule, your $150 conference registration fee is waived.
If your poster session is selected for display, your conference registration fee drops from $150 to $100.

* How to be an effective advocate for your ILL department
* Document Delivery, Distance Services and ILL
* 'When customers and ILL Policies Clash'
* Discussion of ILL from the patron/customer's perspective and how we can improve their experience
* Custom reports created and how to share them
* How people customize ILLiad for their institution
* Customization of book labels and slips
* Purchasing items for patrons
* Finding specialized materials e.g. medical materials for non-medical librarians
* Encouraging partner libraries to use Odyssey
* WCRS deflection & direct request
* Scanning equipment discussion


Presentations should be approximately 45 minutes in length, with 15 minutes for questions.


Poster Sessions provide an opportunity to share innovative programs or creative solutions with your colleagues. Participants have access to a large 4' x 8' corkboard display and table for your examples and documents. You will be provided with a space to setup any example documents or displays beginning Wednesday night and those items can be left up for the duration of the conference. We do ask that you staff your poster session during the Thursday afternoon Wine and Cheese social from 4pm - 6pm.

If you are interested in presenting or creating a poster session, please email your name, institution, contact information along with a brief description of your presentation or poster session, to Marilee Glover at mglover at atlas-sys.com. You will receive an email acknowledgement of your submission within 2 business days. If you do not receive an acknowledgement, please let us know.

Due Dates

Presentation proposals must be submitted no later than Friday, November 6, 2009 for consideration.

Poster session proposals must be submitted no later than Friday, December 11, 2009.
