Dear Resource Sharing Practitioners
Are you looking for an opportunity to become involved in RUSA STARS and
learn more about new and exciting innovations in Resource Sharing? Then
here's an opportunity for you! Consider running to be Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect
of the STARS Hot Topics Discussion Group. The charge for the group is:
To provide a forum for discussion of timely resource sharing issues among
all types of libraries.
The office of Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect is a two-year appointment. The first year
you will be Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect following the Annual Conference in Chicago, IL
(July 2009) through the Annual Conference in Washington, DC (June 2010.) The second
year,following the Annual Conference in Washington,DC you will become Chair of the
Discussion Group through the Annual Conference in New Orleans(June 2011). The Chair
organizes the discussion group meetings at the midwinter and annual conferences.

If you are interested in running for this position, or know someone you
would like to recommend, please complete a STARS Committee Interest Form

before Friday, June 12th. If you are not yet a STARS member you can still volunteer,
as long as you are willing to join STARS. Please be patient with this form - it may take
a while to load. At the bottom of the first page there is a pull-down menu asking you to choose
between RUSA and RUSA_STARS. Choose RUSA_STARS.
