Go to the WorldCat Services Administrative Module at http:firstsearch.oclc.org/admin.

Enter your ILL authorization and password.

You automatically be taken to the Resource Sharing Tab.

On the left side of the screen, click on ILL Processing, under Patron ILL Settings.

Find the database(s) that have a check mark under the OCLC ILL Direct Request Profile column.

You may wish to consider checking OCLC ILL Review File instead, so that all requests come to the Request Manager (Category "Review") for ILL staff to check.

Make sure you save your changes by clicking on the Save Changes button.

Subject: [ILL-L] turning off OCLC direct request?

Greetings,

I took over ILL operations at a library that had OCLC direct request turned on. I need to turn it off, and I have no idea how. Is this a setting I can change (somewhere in the admin module, perhaps)? Or do I need to go through my regional provider?

I have never been a fan of the idea of letting my patrons pick their own records, and man are they proving me right.

Thank you so much in advance, for lending a little sanity back into my life.
