I would think it would be against copyright unless the original medium was no longer usable. But that’s just my first thought, maybe you could call the publisher for permission,

Please shed some light on this situation: I have a faculty member who wants to print two whole entire years of a journal that we own on Microfilm. She wants to have those copies bound and placed on the shelves. Doesn’t this go against copyright somehow? The years are 1980 and 1984.
