[ILL-L] Ariel and other Issues at SWW

We have had a fun-filled last week or so here at SWW, with a lightning
strike taking out phones lines for several days last week. Once we
recovered from that (thanks to our hardworking telecom people), our
entire library system crashed over last week due to an internal network
issue. Then, this past Monday a fiber optic line was cut and we lost all
external network communications for about 24 hours. Yesterday, I
discovered my fax was not working, and it may have been down for a day
or a week, I am not sure at this point. All I am sure of is that I need
a vacation....

 

So, what I have now is the most "Not Received" status items I have ever
had. Anything shipped via fax 6/12 through 6/16 was probably not
received, and anything shipped via Ariel on 6/22 may not have gone
through. Last Friday afternoon through Sunday is questionable too. 

 

Fax and email are all confirmed as currently working, Ariel seems to be
working but I am suspicious.  If you have issues with our Ariel, please
reroute via email or fax. 

 

All items have been marked NoRecd in OCLC, and I will of course continue
to do this as more crop up. I apologize for the inconvenience of having
to send the requests twice. Thank you for your patience as we catch up
from our multitude of technology issues.
