Iowa State University Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Fees
Increase July 1st

Beginning July 1, 2009 fees will increase for Interlibrary Loan-Lending
service at the Iowa State University Library (IWA on OCLC). The base
fee for a journal article or loan of a returnable item will increase
from $10.00 to $12.00. This applies to all libraries that do not have
an interlibrary loan agreement (group or individual) in place. Iowa
State University is a member of Rapid, GWLA and the Iowa Interlibrary
Loan Reimbursement program.

The Iowa State University Library also offers a fee-based document
delivery service (DDS) directly to individuals around the world, to
document delivery companies, and to organizations (i.e. law firms,
businesses, etc.) without a formal library. For the U.S. and Canada, a
formal library is determined by listing in the American Library
Directory. DDS clients not affiliated with Iowa State will see an
increase in the base fee from $12.00 to $15.00. Returnable materials
are only loaned to DDS clients that have an Iowa State University
Library card.
