[ILL-L] Borrowing vs Lending

Maybe this is crazy, but...
Would it be possible for libraries that are having a tough time with
mailing costs, particularly those who are net lenders, to have a place
to post their symbol to let others know? Maybe within Share-ILL?
That way those of us who maintain custom holdings could slide those
symbols into a group further down the path. We net borrowers don't want
to exhaust the resources of those generous lenders. Reciprocity is not
just the backbone, it's the whole body!

We too are net lenders and we too are feeling the pinch. Something
tells me
things are going to get worse.
We need to spread the work load. If our policies included information
about
what percent of our holdings are in the database and the number of Ills
we
filled in the last year, lenders could make better choices about where
to
find lending partners. Libraries that borrow and do not lend would come
around. The backbone of ILL is reciprocity.
