Subject: [ILL-L] Document Delivery Survey

Hi Everyone,

Here at BYU Provo I are trying to assess what kinds of Document Delivery are provided nationwide so far. If you have the time to answer these questions below I'd greatly appreciate it. Feel free to email your submissions to me, or if there is a webpage that describes these policies you could send that instead since it will save some time.

1. Are you a public or private library? private college, open to the public

2. Does your library have a Doc. Del. Program? yes

3. Is it limited to electronic delivery or is there physical as well? both

4. Is there any charge? If so what? if non-recip, $10 articles, $12 books

5. What are the limitations of the service? (patron status, maximum distance etc) not really

6. How is your library planning to change its services to better meet the patron needs? automate as much as possible

7. What goals is your library striving for the future? trying to lend electronic journals

8. What kind of literature do you use to keep a pulse on Document Delivery? ILL-L, Arie-L, Clio-L, Interlibrary Loan journal

9. Who are (if any) your competitors? Other private colleges

10. What trends do your stats show for DDS? More borrowing of articles.

If others show an interest I will submit my findings on the listserve. Once again, your input is deeply valued and thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Jessica Hicks
