[ILL-L] Question about Retry status

Sara,

Your options for a retry are:

Edit the expiration date if needed to make sure it is later than 7/22 and leave the request in retry.
FirstSearch will automatically send it back to the potential lender.

Treat the request as you would an unfilled, i.e., use it to create a new request with new lenders.
If you build the new request from the one in retry (save it, click on Display Bibliographic Data, etc)
you will have removed the old request from active status and don't need to address the retry date.

Subject: [ILL-L] Question about Retry status

Today I saw that one of our borrowing requests was set to Retry (20090722). I've never been clear on how 'Retry' works. If I just left the request alone, would it become active again on 7/22/2009 or do I need to do something to reactivate the request at that time?
