[ILL-L] no longer AMIGOS AMBC agreement

As of today, LHA is no longer a member of Amigos and is no longer eligible to participate in the Amigos and Amigos-BCR ILL reciprocal groups.

The Library has been a general member of Amigos. While we are full members of SOLINET/Lyrasis, we joined Amigos a number of years ago to network with libraries nearly - we are 30 miles from Texas and many Amigos are closer to us than many Solinet libraries on the east coast.

This year general membership dues increased from $300 to $2750. We can't afford that amount, so the Library has not renewed general membership.

We will continue to be on OCLC WRS, and LVIS, SO6, SIXX, and Freeshare participant. We are a reciprocal free/charge libraries, so we only charge libraries that charge us - we charge you what you charge us.

I'm in the process of contacting AMIGOS and AMBC/BCAM libraries inquiring about continued reciprocal service. If I haven't contact you yet, feel free to contact me off list.
