[ILL-L] RE: Reasons for no - On Reserve

Oh - it IS just ILLiad.  It's been so long since I used WRS for lending that I didn't even think about that.

Perhaps OCLC could/would make this an option in WRS?  It is really a useful feature, saves many Conditionals, and is also useful for 'No' answers as a way to add a comment (such as 'binding too tight' or some such) without using Conditional or a nonspecific 'No'.

Is the "Other Reasons or Notes" only an ILLiad field? We don't have Illiad, and in the WRS interface it seems like the only way to add a note is to do a Conditional. If I were able to elaborate on "Other" in the No response, I'd be happy to use it.

I use Other, and in the 'Other Reasons or Notes' field I type On Reserve.  It doesn't take long to type that phrase.  After reading other responses, I believe I will enter On Course Reserve, as that seems a more complete reason.

Maybe this gripe has already been shared, but lately I've been annoyed by the disappearance of "on reserve" as a Reason for No. Does anybody know the rationale for taking it away? None of the existing options really communicates the reason I can't send the item, but I've been using "in use on loan" just because I hate to use "other." What are other folks doing in this situation?
