[ILL-L] Faculty campus delivery services

Dear Mary,
To answer your question, we have 441 full-time faculty and 141 part
time faculty. The campus is located on one large square block, between
two busy streets with adjacent delivery locations on five blocks
surrounding it. Two locations--the psychologydept/continuing ed
building and north campus are so far away we have to send students on
the campus shuttle bus system to make deliveries there. Otherwise, they
go on foot to make all deliveries.
As for statistics, quite frankly we have to get more for our faculty
through ILL than document delivery, since most of the things they want
we don't have. But here's what we have sent over from July 2008 to
January 2009, which I am sending on a PDF attachment.
As to how this operates at a bigger institution, you might check one of
the library indexes for a couple of articles that were published in the
Journal of Interlibrary Loan and Information Supply by the head of ILL
from Texas A & M University, which supplies tens of thousands of
articles annually to its faculty, staff and students free of charge
through its document delivery system, and they have over 40,000
students! I am afraid I do not remember what they have to say about
their book delivery system.
