[ILL-L] Severe Lending Constraints at CSF (SFE)

Colleagues,
 
As some of you may know, the College of Santa Fe is facing dire financial hardships this semester.  After mergers with the Savannah College of Art and Design and the for-profit corporation Laureate, Inc. fell through, we now live on only in the hopes that we will be brought under the New Mexico state system in the fall.  In the meantime, however, we are facing drastic budget constraints.  We here at the Library have no budget for books this semester (seriously, when I say no budget, I mean we have $750 for emergency curriculuum purchases, and that's IT.) and we only just recently got permission to start up ILL services again.  We only have enough money to pay postage for ILL because the Business Office here budgeted to pay off serials subscriptions in the Spring, but we already paid them in the Fall.
 
Because of our seriously lack of funds, I am having to curtail my ILL lending by putting hard restraints on what I can send out.  I can no longer lend ANY A/V material, including VHS, DVD, CD, and LP.  I can no longer lend books more than 100 years old.  I can no longer lend heavy or enormous art books, because we literally can't afford the postage.  Please have mercy on an over-worked one-woman ILL department and, if at all possible, request from more finanically robust institutions if you can.
