As far as I can tell, World Development indicators was not published
back in 1970-your patron migh need the World Development Report instead.
This quote from Balay's Guide to reference books describes the World
Development Report as: Each volume presents an overview and analysis of
a topic currently relevant to international economic development. The
statistical portion, World Development Indicators, presents selected
social, economic and demographic data on 180 countries."

 

We have the World Dev. Report back to the first edition, 1978.  I notice
that the various editions include comparative statistics for different
intervals such as 1965-1975-1985.  Some include data for 1970.

 

You could certainly request this title from us.  Our symbol is SDB.

I am having some trouble.  One of my customers is looking for a title
from 1970.  The new title is "World Development Indicators" (4227337).
>From OCLC, I discovered the preceding title was "Social indicators of
development"(17941932).  However, I have searched many catalogs and no
one seems to have anything older than 1987.  I have offered him the
electronic version, but he says there is information in the print
version that is not in the electronic version.  Can anyone help clear up
if I have the correct OCLC record(s) or not?  Was this actually
published in or around 1970?  Thanks so much for any assistance you can
provide.
